While most assessments in most courses do not need to be completed in a proctored environment, that added level of supervision can be desirable in some cases. With the widespread availability of AI tools, we’re only seeing instructor interest in proctoring tools grow. In this session, we will discuss together which assessments call for additional protection, then configure Respondus, the University-supported proctoring tool, in Canvas. We will also plan how to orient students before their first proctored exam so the tool supports assessment integrity without adding stress.
