As part of the Hesburgh Libraries AI Literacy workshop series, this installment addresses how to critically evaluate online information and identify inaccuracies in AI-generated content. This hands-on workshop introduces "lateral reading," a powerful fact-checking strategy that involves leaving a source to verify claims across multiple reputable sites. Participants will learn how to quickly assess credibility, spot potential "hallucinations” in AI-produced text, and become more discerning consumers of digital information.
The AI Literacy workshop series is an offering of the AI Collaborative Programming group, a cross-unit partnership between the Hesburgh Libraries, ND Learning, and the Office of Information Technology.
