The RISE AI framework was launched in 2025 under the leadership of Nitesh Chawla, Director, Data, AI, and Computing Initiative; Frank M. Freimann Professor of Computer Science and Engineering; Lucy Family Director for Data & AI Academic Strategy and Founding Director, Lucy Family Institute for Data & Society. Its inaugural RISE AI Conference brought together:
