Assigning students a final paper asks them to deliver an end product. However, it might not tell you much about how they developed their thinking along the way. In this session, we will rebuild one large assignment into three checkpoints so you can follow students’ progress, address problems while there is still time to fix them, and leave fewer places for AI shortcuts to hide. You will leave with the checkpoint structure set up in Canvas and ready to adapt for your own course.
